  • Hair Loss is Natural
  • As everyone ages, hair follicles begin to shrink, leading to thinning hair (or, as some dermatologists refer to it, loss of hair density.) The trouble is, most people start to recognize and treat thinning hair too late. If you want to treat hair loss, it’s imperative that you take action right away.

Hair restoration can be achieved through one of two processes: Harvest hair from an inconspicuous area of the scalp and transplant the hairs to the area of balding and thinning Use advanced technologies to stimulate natural hair growth As a hair restoration expert, Dr. Ambrozic identifies the method that works best for your personal type of balding and thinning hair.
Benefits of Hair Restoration

Hair loss has long been a significant cosmetic concern for men, and women are also finding the need for hair restoration services. When hair transplants were first introduced, men lived with disappointing results. “Hair plugs” created an unnatural hair line and pattern on the scalp that made the restoration process obvious. With SmartGraft™ hair transplant and our other hair restoration services, men and women enjoy fuller hair that looks completely natural.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

When a small amount of your blood is spun in a centrifuge, the blood components separate into plasma, red blood cells and a combination of platelets and leukocytes. Platelets are parts of the blood that help support the healing properties of the body. By using a special technique, clinicians can extract platelet-rich plasma from your blood that contains higher levels of platelets that what is normally found in the same amount of blood. This technique allows for those in the medical community to introduce a high concentration of platelets into the joints, muscles, ligaments and other anatomical structures so that the healing process is accelerated and tissue development minimizes scarring and irregularities.

Treatment and Costs

PRP therapy is administered in conjunction with our other hair restoration treatments, such as the SmartGraft™ hair transplant procedure. The benefits of PRP are best when the plasma can penetrate the treatment area, either by injection or application to microchannels in the skin.

Platelet-rich plasma is not covered by insurance, so you will be responsible for the cost. During the consultation, we determine the estimated cost based upon your treatment plan, and you may incur additional charges over the course of treatment. For your convenience, we offer several payment options, including cash, checks and major credit cards. If you are interested in our financing options, we accept payment by CareCredit®. You can apply online before or after your consultation.
